Jonty

It was early April 2024 when Kareema quickly went to do some shopping. When she came out of the store she saw a little kitten running towards her, despite the parking lot being full of other people. Kareema of course picked up the little kitten and took her home. Kareema had 3 even smaller kittens at home and the kitten from the parking lot took care of the little ones from the very first moment so that they felt safe and secure as if they were with their mother. The kitten was named Jonty by his first sponsor.

Jonty is estimated to be approximately 1 year old, estimated date of birth is around February 2024. As far as we know, Jonty is a healthy young gentleman.

Jonty is a very friendly and calm cat, for that reason he could be placed well with children. Jonty is friendly and calm towards people, he likes to be petted. He gets along very well with the other cats and cat-friendly dogs in 'the haven'.

Like all SHE cats, Jonty has received his vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. He is also chipped and has received his deworming and anti-flea treatment. Jonty is neutered and is also litter-box trained. Jonty is ready to pack his suitcase and move.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. Because Jonty has been used to nothing else than the safe environment of 'the haven' since he was a kitten, this is even more important to him. A very well-sealed outdoor area or cat run is of course also good.

Duda

It was early December 2024 when I visited old Cairo with Kareema. On the way to the shopping street, the market and the restaurant we (read Kareema) fed many street cats. Out of nowhere Kareema suddenly dove to the left, when she came up she had a very small black kitten with a big belly in her hands. The kitten was all alone on the street. Because Kareema was busy feeding the other street cats I put the little kitten in my vest, nice and warm and safe. The kitten stayed at Kareema's house for 1 night and the next morning he came to 'the haven'. The kitten turned out to be completely full of worms and was treated for this immediately. Now 2 months later the kitten is healthy and has grown considerably. I named him Duda, Duda means worm in Arabic.

Duda is estimated to be around 4 months old, estimated date of birth around October 2024. Jabari is reportedly a healthy young gentleman now that he has been freed from worms.

Duda gets along well with the other cats in 'the haven'. Because he is now staying in the kitten apartment, where there are no dogs, we do not yet know how he will react to this. Duda is still a bit reserved towards people, one moment he comes to you carefully but the next moment he can shoot away again. With a lot of rest, treats and time we have good hope that there is still a lot to gain here.

Duda will be ready to move in about 3 months, around May 2025. He will have received all his vaccinations by then. This against common cat diseases and rabies. He will also be chipped and will have received his deworming and anti-flea treatment. Duda has not yet been neutered but this will be done before May. Duda is litter box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be kept indoors. Since Duda has only known the safe environment of 'the haven' since he was a little kitten, this is extra important to him. A very well-sealed outdoor area or cat run is of course also good.

Jabari

In early December 2024, Kareema saw a post about a cat that was injured in its right eye and left front leg. Kareema immediately had the kitten captured and taken to the vet. Unfortunately, the right eye could not be saved and was removed. The left leg was broken and grew together incorrectly, this did not bother the cat so he did not need surgery for this. After the cat received the care he needed, he came to the safety of 'the haven'. The cat was named Jabari by his first sponsor.

Jabari is estimated to be around 2 years old, the estimated date of birth is around February 2023. As far as is known, Jabari is a healthy young gentleman who is not bothered by the fact that he is missing his right eye and has a deformity on his left front leg.

Jabari is a very friendly and affectionate cat. Jabari is friendly and calm towards people, he likes to be petted. He also gets along well with the other cats and cat-friendly dogs in 'the haven'.

Like all SHE cats, Jabari has received his vaccinations. These are against common cat diseases and rabies. He is also chipped and has received his deworming and anti-flea treatment. Jabari is neutered and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be kept indoors. Because Jabari is missing an eye and has a deformity on a front leg, this is extra important for him. A very well-sealed outdoor area or cat run is of course also good.

Gordon

In January 2023, Kareema saw a post about a paralyzed cat that had been dumped in the trash with an IV still in its leg. Since a paralyzed cat has no chance of surviving on the streets, Kareema immediately had him captured and taken to the vet. After treatment and a lot of TLC, the cat finally made it to the safe environment of 'the haven'. The first sponsor gave this big boy the name Gordon.

Gordon is estimated to be around 4 to 5 years old, the estimated date of birth is around August 2020. As far as is known, Gordon is a healthy gentleman who is fortunately walking around again without any problems.

Gordon is a very friendly and calm cat who could be placed well with children. Gordon is friendly and calm towards people, he likes to be petted. He also gets along well with the other cats and cat-friendly dogs in 'the haven'.

Like all SHE cats, Gordon has received his vaccinations. These are against common cat diseases and rabies. He is also chipped and has received his deworming and anti-flea treatment. Gordon is neutered and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. A very well-sealed outdoor space or cat run is of course also good.

Popcorn

It was May 2024 when Kareema was tagged in a post about a kitten that was paralyzed from behind, this kitten was in a busy area of Cairo. As we all know, paralyzed cats don't stand a chance to survive in busy Cairo, especially a kitten. Kareema immediately went to get her from the streets and took her to the vet to be treated. Not much later, the little kitten came to 'the haven' and was named Popcorn by her first sponsor.

Popcorn is estimated to be approximately 1 year old, estimated date of birth is around February 2024. Popcorn is a healthy young lady who is fortunately walking around again without any problems.

Popcorn is a friendly lady who gets along well with the other cats and the cat-friendly dog in 'the haven'. Popcorn is also very friendly to people, she loves to be cuddled. Popcorn also likes to be picked up.

Like all SHE cats, Popcorn has received her vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. She is also chipped and has received her deworming and anti-flea treatment. Popcorn is sterilized and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. A very well-sealed outdoor space or cat run is of course also good.

Who can offer this young, friendly and cuddly lady a loving home?

Piper

It was September 2021 when Kareema's husband suddenly came home with a little kitten. He had found this kitten in an extremely busy place full of people and cars and he simply could not leave her there because she would not survive much longer. According to bystanders she had been there for about 3 days, crying out loudly. Kareema took the little kitten to the safety of 'the haven' where she was named Piper.

Piper is estimated to be about 3.5 years old of which she has been staying at 'the haven' for more than 3 years. Piper is a quiet cat that is friendly to the other cats and cat-friendly dog at 'the haven'. Piper is still shy towards people and does not let herself be touched. She will run away if you come too close.

Like all SHE cats, Piper has received her vaccinations. These are for common cat diseases and rabies. She is also microchipped and has received her deworming and anti-flea treatment. Piper is sterilized and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. A very well-sealed outdoor space or cat run is of course also good.

Who can offer this quiet, still shy lady a loving home where she will hopefully learn to trust 'her people'. She deserves it after more than three years in 'the haven'.

Mickey

It was October 2024 when Kareema saw a message about an old blind cat that was wandering the streets of Cairo. It looked like he had been hit by a car. Because blind cats have no chance of survival on the streets alone, she immediately went to rescue him from the streets. He was blind, missing a piece of his tail and his jaw was broken. He was helped with this. Not much later, this senior came to 'the haven' and was given the name Mickey.

Mickey on the street

Mickey has not had an easy life, and he has the body to show it. The poor guy is blind and has lost part of his tail. It is truly a miracle that he has lived so long on the streets of Cairo. Mickey is estimated to be about 9 years old.

Despite his hard life, Mickey is a very calm and loving boy. He really likes to be cuddled and purrs loudly when he gets some attention and petting. He is very relaxed. Mickey is also very friendly to other cats and the cat-friendly dog.

Like all SHE cats, Mickey has received his vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. He is also chipped and has received his deworming and anti-flea treatment. Mickey is neutered and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. Because Mickey is blind, it is extra important that he cannot go outside. A very well-sealed outdoor area or cat run is of course also good.

Mickey had previously been adopted, but unfortunately Mickey's adoption did not go through.

We hope someone is interested in giving this sweet, relaxed old guy a loving home, he deserves it so much!

Sangria

It was July 2024 when Kareema found a cat that had been dumped next to 'the haven'. Unfortunately, this happens all too often and these cats don't stand a chance on the streets. The cat was quickly captured and taken inside to the safety of 'the haven'. The cat was named Sangria.

Sangria is estimated to be around 2 to 3 years old. The estimated date of birth is somewhere around August 2022. Sangria gets along well with the other cats and the cat-friendly dog in 'the haven'. Sangria is still very shy towards people, she does not let herself be touched and will run away if you come near.

Like all SHE cats, Sangria has received her vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. She is also chipped and has received her deworming and anti-flea treatment. Sangria is sterilized and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. A very well-sealed outdoor space or cat run is of course also good.

Who can offer this quiet, still shy lady a loving home where she can hopefully learn to trust 'her people'.

Sofia

In June 2023, Kareema was tagged in a post from a mother cat who was lying in a cardboard box on the street with her 2 kittens. As always, Kareema immediately had the mother cat and 2 kittens picked up and they came to the safe environment of 'the haven'. The mother cat was named Sofia.

Sofia is estimated to be about 3 to 3.5 years old, the estimated date of birth is around November 2021. Sofia is a very calm friendly cat towards other cats and cat-friendly dog in 'the haven'. Sofia is also very friendly towards people, she will not push herself but loves to be petted.

Like all SHE cats, Sofia has received her vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. She is also chipped and has received her deworming and anti-flea treatment. Sofia is sterilized and is also litter-box trained.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. A very well-sealed outdoor space or cat run is of course also good.

Who can offer this calm and friendly lady a loving home?

Klaus

In early December 2024, Kareema received another message about a kitten that was wandering alone on the busy streets of Cairo. She immediately sent someone to rescue the little kitten from the streets. That's how this little troublemaker ended up in 'the haven'. Because he was rescued during the Christmas month, he was named Klaus.

Klaus is a very smart, very active and playful young tomcat. He gets along well with the other cats and cat-friendly dog in 'the haven. He also likes to be cuddled by people. He is a friendly little guy.

Like all SHE cats, Klaus has received his vaccinations. This against common cat diseases and rabies. He is also chipped. Has received his deworming treatment and anti-flea treatment. Klaus is also litter box trained. Klaus is not yet neutered, this will happen in the coming days. Klaus is estimated to be around 5 months old, the estimated date of birth is around September 2024.

We attach great importance to the safety of our SHE cats. A SHE adoption cat must be an indoor cat. This is especially important for Klaus because he has grown up in the safety of the shelter from an early age. A very well-sealed outdoor area or cat run is of course also good.
