Ernie

My name is Ernie. I am 8 months old now, born around new year 2024.

Last February I was walking between buildings on the street looking for food in trash cans when I found a building. There was some dry food nearby.

I went there, ate and slept deeply. The next day I saw cats entering this building and going to the first floor where food was next to an apartment. I did the same as them.

After talking to the other cats I understood that they told me there was a lovely lady named Koky. She feeds the cats, so I decided to live next to this building.

Every day I go to Koky's apartment and eat there. Later she saw me and started touching me and taking care of me. That was the first time in my life that someone took care of me.

Since then we have become friends and every time she opens the door we would play together. I saw that she also has other cats. I decided I wanted to join them too.

The next day Koky opened the door and I jumped into her apartment. I decided I would live there and she told me it was okay, but that I would have to go to the shelter after a few days. I didn't know what a shelter was, but I knew Koky wouldn't take me to a bad place.

I came to the shelter and made many friends here. Now I am looking for a loving forever home.

I am vaccinated, chipped and neutered. I'm looking for a nice home and a nice family who will love me forever, and I will love them forever too.

I am a good boy, Koky told me. Friendly with other cats, dogs and children. I'm not super active, but I like to play.

But don't worry, I won't jump on you and climb on your shoulders. I like to lie in a lap and don't mind being picked up.

Who can give me a safe home? – Adoption procedure

Freya

Freya is a beautiful adult Egyptian Mau born in May 2021, which now makes her two and a half years young. She probably arrived at Safe Haven Egypt with her mother, who was probably blind and pregnant.

Freya has received her basic vaccinations against common cat diseases and rabies. She has also been microchipped, has undergone deworming and has been treated against fleas. She is also potty trained and has been sterilized.

Freya has enjoyed a safe environment at Safe Haven Egypt, and it is important that her future home is also safe. She must be an indoor cat and not allowed to roam freely. A catio or a very well enclosed garden would be suitable for her.

Freya is described as a very smart and friendly cat. She gets along well with other cats and cat-friendly dogs, and would also make a good addition to a family with children.

Freya will travel with a negative rabies laboratory certificate, a sturdy cat box and all documentation relating to her.

Potential adopters are asked to read the adoption procedure If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Freya is ready to find her forever home. Maybe you are her new family?
