Daniel was found in the summer of 2024 on a busy street in Cairo. People had taken a photo and shared it on Facebook. Based on the photo, Kareema, the owner of the cat shelter, went to get him from the busy street and that's how he ended up in 'the haven'.

He is estimated to have been born around June 2023. Which makes him about 1.5 years old at the moment.

In terms of behavior, Daniel is a 'work in progress'. From scared, shy he evolved to pushing himself up against you for a pet. Daniel was initially afraid of people. But recently he has started to trust people more and more and he also comes to you for a cuddle. He even pushes himself up against your leg.

Daniel is social with other cats. Dogs not yet known.

Daniel is not shy, he is a touch cat. But certainly not a cuddle cat. After adoption, after such a journey and ending up in a completely new environment, there is potential that he will be a bit shy again.

As far as we know he is healthy. He is not taking any medication.

Like all cats, Daniel has received his basic vaccination against common cat diseases and rabies. He has received deworming and anti-flea treatment. Is chipped and castrated.

Daniel has been given safety as an ex-street cat in Haven. This should remain the case with his adopter. We are looking for a home for Daniel where his personal safety is a priority.

He must be an indoor cat. Or only be allowed outside under strict conditions. Many people have gone to great lengths to save Daniel. We don't want him to be driven through 'in the quiet street with very little traffic' from his adopter.
