Who can resist these amber eyes?
That irresistible look belongs to the handsome Dougal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A neighbor of Safe Haven Egypt (SHE) had two cats. One day a moving van arrived. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Koky, the founder of SHE, approached the movers to ask the neighbor if she wanted to take her cats with her. Unfortunately, in Cairo, pets are often treated like toys: when they have had their day, they are thrown away. The neighbor assured that she would keep the cats. <\/p>\n\n\n

The next day Koky found the two completely terrified animals on the street, ... as if she suspected it! Because indoor cats are definitely not made for the street, she took them both to the Haven.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dougal is about a year and a half old and \u2013 just like his former roommate Saffron<\/a> \u2013 a typical domestic cat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is very trusting, friendly and loves human affection. In the Haven he also gets along well with his peers and the shelter dog.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because Dougal and Saffron<\/a> grew up together, they are ideal for a double adoption. They have already been socialized together and are therefore also suitable for less experienced adopters.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Dougal can also do without his friend Saffron<\/a> be adopted, because the two are not dependent on each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dougal has always been an indoor cat and enjoyed the safety of the Haven after his heartless owner abandoned him. Therefore, he should never be kept as a free-ranging outdoor cat, like our other rescued animals.

Like all SHE cats, Dougal has been neutered, deflead, dewormed, chipped and vaccinated. It can fly to Europe, Canada and the US. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has his vaccination passport and an official veterinary certificate of his active protection against rabies.
